The College of Education seeks to recognize our remarkable alumni who bring honor and prestige to the University through their incredible accomplishments. Winners of the 2027 College of Education Alumni Awards will be celebrated at the College of Education Celebration Breakfast on Saturday, March 6, 2027. 

Award Categories: 

The College of Education Award for Community Service celebrates the impactful contributions of a Rowan University alumnus(a) who has made a substantial difference and positive change within their community. This individual should have outstanding commitment to community service through community volunteerism, philanthropy, or public office.

The College of Education Emerging Educator Award celebrates a recent graduate from one of the College of Education’s undergraduate programs – within the past ten years – who is already making an extraordinary impact in their school or community. The award recognizes a rising educator who embodies the College’s values, demonstrating leadership and innovation early in their careers, and show great promise for a future of continued educational excellence. 

The College of Education Award for Outstanding Achievement is given to a Rowan University alumnus(a) who has achieved remarkable success in the field of education. This individual should have excelled in their professional pursuits, in addition to bringing notable recognition to Rowan University. This award acknowledges outstanding accomplishments and contributions from an alumnus(a) whose impact has changed their local region and beyond.

The College of Education Award for University Engagement honors an alumnus(a) who demonstrates loyalty and commitment to Rowan University through exceptional service aimed at advancing the mission of the College of Education. This individual should set an example for others through their dedicated volunteer efforts, serve as an ambassador for the College’s initiatives, and embody what it means to be an education champion. 

Award Guidelines: 

  • Nominations shall be made only through the completion of the nomination form.
  • Candidates for these awards shall never be denied or eliminated from possible selection on the basis of race, creed, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender, or other protected classification.
  • Current University employees are not eligible to receive an award. Employees must be separated from the University for a period of 5 years before they are eligible for nomination.
  • Award recipients must be present at the College of Education Celebration Breakfast on March 6, 2027. 
  • To be eligible for any alumni award, nominees must have earned a degree from Rowan University (previously Glassboro State College) and must be living at the time of consideration. 

The Selection Committee requests all nominations to be submitted by Sunday, November 1, 2026.
